The Conference, hosted by the President of the State of Israel, Shimon Peres, entitled "Facing Tomorrow" will run October 20th-22nd in Jerusalem
The President of the State of Israel and Nobel Prize winner, Shimon Peres, is proud to be hosting the second annual Israeli Presidential Conference which runs October 20th-22nd at the International Convention Center in Jerusalem. The Conference is being held in tandem with the world renowned Hebrew University of Jerusalem which will be organizing the events and lending its vast intellectual resources to the proceedings.
Some 3,000 participants, from Israel and overseas will be taking part in the Conference which will focus on our mutual tomorrow by investigating trends that are shaping the future and exploring actions that could be undertaken towards the betterment of generations to come for all the world’s citizens.
Among the key International guests who’ll be speaking at the Conference: Jose Maria Aznar - Former Prime Minister of Spain, Tony Blair – Quartet Representative & Former British Prime Minister, Mathais Dopfner – Chairman & CEO of Axel Springer AG, Susan Rice – U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations, Baron David de Rothschild – Executive Chairman of the Rothschild Group, Josh Silverman – President of Skype, Jimmy Wales – Founder of Wikipedia, Chen Wang- Minister of information for the People’s Republic of China, Axel A. Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu will join the President of Israel, Shimon Peres, in greeting the participants at the opening night gala event. The Conference's closing session, which will take place on Thursday evening, will feature Israeli Vice Prime Minister, Defense Minister & Chairman of the Labor Party, Ehud Barak, Chairperson of the Kadima Party and leader of the Opposition, Tzipi Livni and Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Chairman, Shas Party, Eli Yishai.
With over 35 plenary and panel sessions, the Conference will take aim at an array of topics ranging from the global economic crisis to new innovations in the scientific world and everything in between.Some of the world’s top experts and pundits will also tackle panels on the Middle East, the Jewish World and the Peace process with its complexities.
